Dovie was a divorced mother of six children, of those six children three where birth. Dovie Married twice, and moved from OKlahoma to California to Texas back to Oklahoma, during that time she was known to own and care of a small bar in Ft. Worth Texas, but once her mother was sick she left Texas to see to her mother. She was soon followed by her daughter, and granddaughter in who she cared for. Grand Daughter was one Leslie Furrh, who Dovie looked after until cancer took her as well.
