She passed away on September 24, 1926 in Chattanooga, Hamilton County, Tennessee, USA. His father John was born on September 18, 1869 in Hixson, Hamilton County, Tennessee, United States of America. He was first married to Sallie Louise Hale (1882-1912) and together they had children Treva Lillian McCroy (1906-1996), Brookseye Rawlston (1908-), Lee Alton Rawlston (1908-1959), and Samuel Taylor Carlton Rawlston (1911-1912). They lived in Winchester, Franklin, Tennessee, USA. He then re married to Maud on December 24, 1913 and had three sons with her, Elward, Howard, and John. He worked as an Oreman for a Hosiery Mill in Civil District 2, Hamilton, Tennessee. John passed away on December 17, 1933 in Hixson, Hamilton County, Tennessee, United States of America.

Elward was my uncle. My father was John Bernard Rawlston. When I was in the 3rd grade my mother was very sick, not expected to live, and I spent the summer with Elward and his wife Thelma at their home in Lexington KY on Limestone St.
