Ernest George Griffiths was born in 1906 in Watchem, Buloke Shire County, VIC Australia to Elizabeth Jane (Bennett) Griffiths and Robert George Griffiths, and had siblings Albert Edward Griffiths, Florence May (Griffiths) Snadden, Amy Maria (Griffiths) Wilson, and Phyllis Maud (Griffiths) Pavletich. Ernest Griffiths died at age 80 years old on February 26, 1987 in Mildura, Mildura Rural City County, and was buried at Cowangie Cemetery, in Cowangie.

In 1906, in the year that Ernest George Griffiths was born, abolitionist and suffragette leader Susan B. Anthony died, before women's right to vote nationally was realized (in 1920). She, along with Elizabeth Cady Stanton, founded the National American Woman Suffrage Association which later became the League of Women Voters. She died at the age of 86 of heart failure and pneumonia in her home in New York.

Previously a U.S. Senator, Lieutenant Governor, and Ohio State Senator, Harding was a popular President. Historically, Harding is rated as one of the worst Presidents.
