Etja Christine Tjarden of West Sacramento, Yolo County, California United States was born on November 24, 1896 in Springfield, IL. She was married to Johann B (Hertel) Hirtel, and they were together until Johann's death on February 9, 1968. She had children John Hirtel, Irene (Hirtel) Vix, Edwin C Hirtel, Jordean Rose (Hirtel) Cox, Loren R Hirtel, Lorraine Gloria (Hirtel) Treis, Nancy Lee (Hirtel) Ferko, Patricia Ann (Hirtel) Flint, and Lois Marie (Hirtel) Secco-Lunetta. Etja Tjarden died at age 78 years old on November 9, 1975 in West Sacramento, CA, and was buried at Cherokee Memorial Cemetery in Lodi, San Joaquin County.
