The Sun Belt thanks him!

1905 - By the time he was only 3 years old, the first movie theater opened in the United States in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It was the first theater to show nothing but movies - silent films. Two men, John P. Harris and his brother-in-law Harry Davis, opened the Nickelodeon on Smithfield Street - charging 5 cents for admission. The new organization had broad and stringent rules and oversight and restored public confidence in the stock market in the United States.

They fulfilled the promise of President Kennedy's commitment in 1961 to put a man on the moon before the end of the decade.
