A photo of Hattie Florence Click. Aunt Hatt married Uncle Will Lewis. Her father built the Sheridan Flour mill in 1870 with the help of Mark Hopkins, renaming it Buckeye Mill when he bought out the partners. Daniel Click came from Navaroo, OH in 1864. 'Dad use to tell us about the ebony room in Mark Hopkins home on Nob Hill. I saw it in San Francisco when I was 19 & had got married. I met Will & his sisters when I was going to school. Hattie Click's Conformation
A photo of Life in Sheridan, Hattie Click's Conformation: Aunt Hatt is the one sitting on the left. I really do not know what they are dressed for but my cousin Marion said it looks like a Conformation. I know that Aunt Hatt was involved with the Rebekah Order of the Oddfellows for most of her life. Her father Daniel Click must have taken them for this photo since he also had his own portrait taken the same day. He was one of the prominent men in town, owning the flour mill.
