She had siblings Cyrill Bruno Danda, Irma Erma Jarmila Jára Marie Dandová, Louise Ilaria Klotylda Anežka Dandová, Eduard-Edo Edica Danda, Elvíra Nevenka Dandová Pejić, Antonínka-Antonie Paula Tona Dandová Tvrtković, Bruno Karel - Karl Jaroslav Danda, and Karl Rudolf - Karlo Danda. She married Živko Todić, and they were married until Živko's death. Helena Todić died at age 55 years old on July 1, 1955 in Belgrade Serbia.

In 1900, in the year that Helena Kristýna Dandová Todić was born, the German physicist Max Planck formulated an energy theory, postulating the existence of "quanta," which lays the groundwork for the quantum theory of modern physics. In December, he introduced a paper on the Planck postulate which stated that E=hv - the energy of a photon is proportional to its frequency times a constant. Planck won a Nobel Prize in 1918 for his work in theoretical Physics.
