He married Eleanor J Hegele on July 5, 1947 in Franklin, Ohio, USA at age 30. He was the Sherriff of Fairfield County and was one of only two men to serve three consecutive terms as sheriff in the county.

    Fairfield County Sheriff Blazer Dies In Hospital early Saturday in Lancaster Fairfield Hospital following a long illness. Sheriff Blazer, one of only two men to serve three consecutive terms as sheriff in the county, underwent an operation last November. Complications followed and he spent some time in a Columbus hospital before undergoing further treatment in the Lancaster Fairfield Hospital.
