    Lillian Ewing 2/17/2016 Lillian (DeLaura) Ewing, 90, of Noank CT passed away on February 17, 2016 at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 8, 1925 in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of Frank DeLaura and Julia (Cipolla) DeLaura. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Frank E Ewing Sr. who died on Feb. 2, 2014. She dearly missed him. For many years she had been a volunteer for the American Red Cross Bloodmobile as well as a volunteer at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital Lobby Shop for 30 years with Mrs. Yvonne Norris, formerly of Groton. She is survived by her two children, Frank E. Ewing Jr. and his wife Susan Ewing of Noank and Linda Kravet and her husband Edward Kravet of Orange CT, 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Mary Duplice of Mystic, a niece and nephew, as well as dear friends at Mystic River Homes. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 23, at 11:00am at St. Mary Mother of the Redeemer Church, 69 Groton Long Point Road, Groton. Burial will follow in Elm Grove Cemetery, Mystic. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to American Heart Association Memorial Dept. 5 Brookside Drive Wallingford, CT. 06492.
