At the time of Marcellus Bades's WII Draft registration on June 30, 1942, he was 20 years old and living in Honolulu. He was employed by Castle and Cooke Terminals. Marcellus then enlisted in the U.S. Army on January 12, 1946 and joined the Signal Corps as a Private Regular Army. He enlisted for the Hawaiian Department and was assigned to the Army branch. Bades served for two years and eight months, until his discharge on September 3, 1948. He served as a Private in the Us Army during World War II.
