Introduction

Margaret was my grandmother. Her maiden name was Cowan and she married my Grandfather, James Smith Albany Sr., around 1920. They lived in Chester, PA. She had 4 children; my father and his twin sister, Jane, Margaret (Peggy), and Sally. My Grand Father had a company in Chester - Rodgers & Albany Warehouse along with Story's Express Trucking Company down on 4th & Melrose. My Grandfather died in 1956 and my Grandmother and Aunt Peggy moved to Meadowvale (Brookhaven neighborhood). When my Aunt Peggy died she moved to Washington State to live with my Aunt Jane. She died in December 1985 after a fall and subsequent loss of blood (even after the hospital had released her). More later...
