July 10,2023,Michelle Olgers,60,of Warrington,PA passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family. Born in Philadelphia,PA,Michelle was the daughter of Maurice and the late Florence (Perzeproski) Olgers. Michelle graduated from Archbishop Ryan High School, class of 1980. She went to receive her Bachelor's degree in Communications and Spanish from West Chester University. She spend the majority of her career working at Woods Services as a Residential Manager. She carried her passion for individuals with disabilities into her work, and brought her empathy and fiery fight for justice into the office day after day, showing great compassion to the individuals she worked with, never failing to go above and beyond for those in her care. Michelle valued her family above all else. They were the center of her life, and she loved them fiercely. Her greatest desire in life was to be a mother. At 30,she had her first child,Kirsten. She then had her son,Jon Christopher, and her daughter Dominique, before adopting her youngest son,Jorge. She grew into motherhood effortlessly, and demonstrated her unconditional love with big gestures and constant reminders. A request to play in a sandbox turned into an impromptu trip to the beach. Early days were filled with trips to zoos, aquariums and amusement parks. No holiday was too small to celebrate. She attended every swim meet, soccer game, baseball game, and track meet. Every accomplishment summoned celebratory decorations. She got involved with Special Olympics, and became a tireless advocate for children with disabilities. Every challenge one of her children faced, they fought with her beside them. Michelle had seemingly endless energy, and a vibrant personality. Never on to sit still, she seized every opportunity before her. Towards the end of her life, all three of Michelle's adult children spent an extended period of time living in her home with her. She was thrilled by this, and didn't waste a moment of it. She filled this time creating lasting memories with them, never forgetting the fragility of life, and the great value of love. They took long drives together, listening to Neil Young, traveling down winding roads, watching neighborhoods give away to fields, passing over bridges, stopping to take in the peacefulness of her favorite lake and church, making trips to farmers markets, trying new foods and drinks. She spent time with her sister, sleeping over her house, eating good food, making new memories, and sharing laughter. She built a wonderful relationship with her father. They were daily FaceTimes with her cousin. She repaired her relationship with the father of her three children, and they found a new and sincere love for one another. She took trips with friends, and felt their continued love and support. She was in awe of the people of her life, and felt incredibly lucky to be surrounded by so much love. She laughed big belly laughs. She talked about God,and the meaning of life. She explored her spirituality. She expressed her boundless gratitude for family, friends, and the world around her. She continue to lead by example, showing those in her orbit how to live a life fully, and to find hope in even the greatest of challenges. Though her absence is a loss that will be felt profoundly, she leaves behind an enduring legacy of love, compassion, and hope. Michelle is survived by her children,Kirsten,Dominique, and Jorge O'Hanlon. She was the sister of Cheryl Giusti (Larry),and the daughter of Maurice Olgers. Michelle was preceded in death by her son Jon Christopher O'Hanlon, and her mother Florence (Perzeproski) Olgers. She is also survived by John O'Hanlon, and her niece and nephews,Larry Giusti (Paula),Erica Giusti-Kozuhowski (Mike),and David Giusti (Alyssa). A celebration of Michelle's life will be held at 11 A.M. on July 19th at the Shelly Funeral Home,1460 Easton Rd.,Warrington. The family will receive friends from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to The Kim Wellness and Support Center. Michelle's memorial video can be found on the photo/video page. Scroll down to the video file.
