I found some more info Ruth was born in 1892 and passed away in 1975.

Naomi Ruth Headen of Australia was born in 1892. Naomi Headen was married to Edgar Russell Holmes in 1918, and died at age 83 years old in 1975.

Naomi Ruth Headen was my Great Aunt. She did not like her Christian name (Naomi). So everybody called her Ruth. She had a large painting of Naomi (
from the bible, above her fire mantle), in her eating area in her kitchen. She was married to Edgar Russell Holmes and they lived in 8 Cyril street Elwood. Even though I was very young I have lovely memories of them both. They were a devoted couple. Ruth was a fabulous sewer with some very fancy sewing machines. They visited us regularly and adored my mother, Lavinia Gertrude Barry, and always made nice clothes for me. After Edgar passed away on 6th February 1963, Ruth's sister Gertrude Emily Florence Hopetoun Headen (who was my Grand Mother) and I would visit (during school holidays), so we stayed with Ruth at her house, Ruth sold her House around 1970 and moved to flat 1 8 Robert st Elwood. My lovely Great Aunt passed away in either 6th or 7th March 1971 and not 1917. My mother was devastated to find this out quite a few years later!! I too have been unable to find her birth record, Infact I couldn't find Gertrude's birth certificate. All of the other siblings were all born in Prahran. Ruth was around 84 years when she passed away. The house at Cyril st was a white weatherboard, with Queen Anne furniture, grandfather clock, piano/pianola, tasteful. I think her husband may have built the house. I am sure he did some of the windows - lead light etc and I think Edgar made some other furniture got the house. She was in a hospital before she died. The house in Cyril st was pulled down as was the house next door to put up a small block of flats. I hope this has been helpful. Another niece Gladys Riley 12 Lawrence st murrumbeena seemed to take control.
