1906 - In the year that Nester P Daub was born, President Theodore Roosevelt received the Nobel Prize for Peace. The award was considered controversial at the time because many thought that he was an imperialist. For these two reasons, the Nobel Prize committee chose him for the Peace Prize.

First released in December 1937, it was originally dubbed "Disney's Folly" but the premiere received a standing ovation from the audience. He was released in 1962 after 1 year, 9 months and 10 days in prison.

1965 - This person was 59 years old when the television show "I Spy" premiered in the fall season on NBC. The stars were Bill Cosby and Robert Culp, making Cosby the first African American to headline a television show. Four stations - in Georgia, Florida, and Alabama - refused to air the show.

1997 - In the year of Nester P Daub's passing, on July 1st, Hong Kong was returned to China. In 1898, Great Britain was awarded Hong Kong for 99 years. In a subsequent agreement, China agreed to allow Hong Kong to remain capitalist. So the handing over of the area ended British rule but did not change the economic system of Hong Kong.
