Son of Frederick and Lydia Hetzner Bickel. Older brother: Victor Bickel. Younger brothers: Adolph, Eldor, Herman, Kurt, and Lester (might have the order of Eldor and Herman confused). Younger sister: Elvira Bickel Neumeyer. Married to Ruth Block Bickel, and had 6 children: Mary Bickel Klein, Susan Bickel Crawford, Karla Bickel, Rev. Philip Bickel, Eunice Bickel Hester, and Katrine Bickel. After being widowed at the age of 76, married Ruth-Esther Hillila-Bickel. Grandchildren: Grant Crawford, Lydia Crawford, Adam Crawford, Ben Crawford, Evan Crawford, Rick Heyn, Joel Klein, Sarah Klein Dyjak, Amy Klein Medeiros, Hope Klein Bussell, Katy Bickel, Sam Bickel, Kristy Bickel Strong, Miranda Hester, Meredith Hester. Many Great-grandchildren.
