Ralph Joseph Gorvett is the son of George and Hulson Gorvett. He was a native of Boston, Massachusetts, born on January 28, 1925. He enlisted in the U.S. Army on May 8, 1944, in Fort Devens, Massachusetts and was likely deployed overseas to serve in the war effort during World War II. Ralph served in the U.S. Army for just over two years, until his honorable discharge on May 23, 1946 In 1947, at the age of 22, he married Carolyn Doreen Sandstrom (born 1928) in Somerville, Massachusetts. The couple had one child together, a son named Donald, who was born in 1955 in Boston. Sadly, Ralph passed away on June 21, 1998, in Waltham, Massachusetts, at the age of 73.
