This by Richard's nephew, Mark D. Bonneville. Mother Lilian, was an Anderson, of Swedish immigrants, from the Arrowhead region in northern Minn. Her father was a Great lakes fisherman by trade. She had two brothers, sister, Ruth, and brother Arthur, that were known to me. They also lived in Robinsdale are for a time. Ruth and Lilian were very close. My Grandfather, (Dicks Dad), was Arthur J. Bonneville. He was descended from Bonnevilles who traveled or migrated from Quebec City Canada into Minnesota, in the extreme northeast arrowhead region. Time of migration was approximately 1880s. My studies indicate the Bonnevilles were in Quebec, since the early 1700's. They were involved in the early fur trade industry of North America. Word from related Bonnevilles gives testimony of Iraqois documented features by paleontologists. My search of 1700s Bonneville birth certificates has shown marriage with Native America women. The Bonnevilles settled in the area of Akin Minn. in the very late 1800s. Richard's father farmed, trapped, hunted, fished, and did carpentry work in that area as a young man. He had several brothers and sisters. Mother was Rose. Sister Ida, who married a Dupont. A brother Bill, and Lawrence, who died young on a motorcycle. Grandpa was the oldest of his siblings. Aurther moved to Robinsdale Minn. in about 1920. He met and married Lilian, and they resided there the rest of their lives.
