    Richard I. Larsen, Sr., a lifelong resident of the Pine Bush area, passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Wallkill, NY. He was 79 years old. Son of the late Leonard and Nellie VanEmburgh Larsen, he was born August 20, 1935 in Middletown, NY. Richard was an Auctioneer "extraodinaire" for 50-plus years, most recently with Glen Wild Auctions of Glen Wild, NY. He was well-known for his auctioneering style, which was filled with wit and charm. Survivors include his sons: Keith Larsen of Pine Bush, NY, Kenny Larsen of Palm Coast, FL, Richard I. Larsen, Jr. (Kayla) of East Meredith, NY; daughters: Kathy Bufalo of Pine Bush, NY, Rebecca Worthington of Tuxedo, NY; brothers George Larsen of Bullville, NY, Douglas Larsen of Pine Bush, NY, Daniel Larsen of Wallkill, NY; sisters: Betty Hamilton of Kerhonkson, NY, Joan Young of Pine Bush, NY; 8 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, nieces and nephews. Richard was predeceased by his brother James Larsen. Memorial Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, October 25th with a prayer service at 3:30 p.m. led by Rev. Michael F. Keane at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 117 Maple Avenue, Monroe, NY. Cremation took place at Cedar Hill Crematory, Middle Hope, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to Good Samaritan Hospital c/o Regional Kidney Center, 33 Route 17m, Harriman, New York 10926. Funeral arrangements by Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc.
