Ronnie was raised by his mother and stepfather, Robert Schrohe. Ronald first married Dorothy Mae Warbington (1931 - 2001) in 1950 and they had one son. He then married Margaret Ann Kirste (1939 - 2020). Ronnie was survived by two children: David Paul and Susan Rose; four grandsons, Jeffery, Kyle, Cody and Daniel, and four great-grandchildren.
