He had siblings Ramona Christine (Lowe) Alldredge and Bill Lowe. He married Shirley A (Dobbs) Lowe on October 2, 1967 in Grove, Delaware County, OK, and they were married until Russell's death on May 23, 2004 in Columbia, Boone County, MO. He had a child Danny Dean Lowe. Russell Lowe was buried on May 26, 2004 at Shawnee Cemetery in Warsaw, Benton County.

Russell T. Lowe, age 72, of Edwards, Missouri, passed away Sunday evening, May 23, 2004, at the University of Missouri Medical Center in Columbia, Missouri. He was born in Kansas City, Kansas, on January 15, 1932, the son of George and Gladys Faye Lewis Lowe. He grew up in central Kansas and graduated from Ellinwood High School. In 1951 he enlisted in the United State Air Force serving until 1955. On October 2, 1967, he was united in marriage to Shirley Dobbs in Grove, Oklahoma. They made their home in Kansas City until moving to their Lake of the Ozarks home near Edwards, Missouri in 1969. There they owned an operated Russ’s Resort until 1976. He then began working as a deputy sheriff under Benton County Sheriff Bob Breshears and later Bob Crenshaw until 1991. He then owned and operated the D. A. Printers print shop in Kansas City, Missouri, for two more years and then retired. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors of the Missouri Ozarks for many years, and threw in a Mule Deer hunting trip and went salmon fishing in Alaska when the opportunity presented itself. He was a member of American Legion Post #217 of Warsaw, the Masonic Lodge in Missouri City, Missouri, the Kansas City Valley of the Scottish Rite bodies, Ararat Shrine in Kansas City, and the Warsaw Shrine Club. Russ is survived by his wife, Shirley, of the home, one son, Danny Lowe and his wife, Nancy, of Edwards, Missouri, two step-grandchildren, Corey Pike and Sean Gray, one brother, Bill Lowe, of Kansas City, Missouri, one sister, Ramona Lowe, of Kansas City, Missouri, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends. Grave Side Funeral Services and Burial will be at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 26, 2004, at the Shawnee Cemetery, Warsaw, with Rev. Rick Dewitt officiating. Visitation will be from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M.
