    The following appeared in The State in Columbia South Carolina on Friday October 26th 2018: West Columbia - Theodore Dean "Ted" Gjennestad, Jr., 57, of West Columbia, passed away Monday, October 22, 2018 at Baptist Hospital in Easley. Born in Bamberg County, SC, he was a son of the late Theodore Dean Gjennestad, Sr. and Gladys Fanning Jarvis. Ted was retired and formerly employed with the Hartsville Water Treatment Plant and The Department of Juvenile Justice. He loved his daughters and enjoyed fishing. Surviving are his daughters, Kristen Cherish Gjennestad of Easley and Kathryn Crystal Gjennestad of Charleston; and a sister, Linda G. Hendricks of Charleston. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Teresa Leigh Jones Gjennestad and a brother Michael Dean Gjennestad. The family will host a private memorial service.
