  • Introduction

    The Australasian, Melbourne, 30 November 1912. The late Mr. Thomas Bath, the father of Mr. E. G. Bath, whose splendid farm Pleasant-side, is described in this article, came to Swanwater West forty three years ago, and selected 320 acres on what was then known as Mogg's Plains, The Argus, Melbourne, 20 March 1901. WILLS AND BEQUESTS. Mr. Thomas Bath, late of Swanwater West, farmer who died on February 14, left a will dated January 19, 1897, which has been lodged for probate. He bequeathed reality worth £3,946, and personalty worth £900 to his widow and Children.

    The Advertiser, Adelaide. 11 March 1901. BATH.- On the 14th February, at his residence, " Pleasent Side," Estate, Swanwater West, Victoria, Thomas , dearly beloved husband of Mary Bath, and brother-in-law of Mrs. R. N. Eagle, "Le Var," Bernard street, North Adelaide. The Argus, Melbourne, Monday 18 February 1901. ST. ARNAUD.- A very old resident of Swanwater West, Mr. Thomas Bath, died at St. Arnaud on Thursday, and his remains were interred in the Swanwater West Cemetery on Friday. Deceased was 74 years of age. The Age, Melbourne. 18 February 1901. Thomas Bath, of Swanwater, aged 74, who arrived in Victoria, on 14th February, 1871, died at St. Arnaud, 14th February, 1901.
