It had previously taken 12 hours to assemble a whole vehicle - now it took only two hours and 30 minutes! The same summer, there were riots in Beaumont, Texas and Harlem, New York.

1954 - This person was 52 years old when on May 17th, the Supreme Court released a decision on Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka. The ruling stated that state laws establishing separate public schools for black and white students was unconstitutional thus paving the way for integration in schools.

1967 - In the year of Valetta Kemp's passing, between June 5th and 10th, Israeli and Egypt, Jordan, and Syria fought what came to be called the "Six-Day War". It ended with Israel occupying the Sinai Peninsula, Golan Heights, Gaza Strip and West Bank.
