Origins
William was always a sweet soul, who would share a laugh or a practical joke. A free spirit , who loved music, vinyl records, video games, and always rocked his afro into the 90s. My dad robert scott mcdonald (1949-) and william (1950-1995) were friends in the late 60s where my dad met bills sister jeannine.
Bills parents had high hopes for him, but bill just wanted to live that 60s counterculture, party, maintained a junior clerk hob at the state of california, met his first wife linda, divorced and met married teri mcgregor. They moved up to placerville where he had jenell born 1980 and nicole born 1984. They built a custom swimming pool on roc road im diamond springs. Had a home. Eventually bill and teri split divorce and he moved back to sacramento where he hung out with me, his nephew alot.
We went to an oakland A’s same in 1991 or 1992? He was always there to toss the football around, we went to famous burgers on 65th folsom blvd in sacramento (no longer there) played video games and music. He was always trying to get me to get into steely dan and classic rock. And bruce springsteen and he owned hella boz scaggs cassettes. And random VHS tapes.
He got sick 3 years before his death. He met a girl, forget her name then susan . They broke up. He had an agressive form of T-cell lymphoma which he fought with chemo and radiation at palo alto.
He passed in 1995 at age 45. RIP BILL. He is buried in a box crypt st marys 65th and 14th avenue in sacramento, CA
