William Frederick Baker of Wollongong, NSW Australia was born in 1893 in Wagga Wagga to William Baker and Ellen Minty Baker. He had siblings Ethel Baker Miller, Violet Murchison, Ida Martin (Nee Baker), Elsie Olive Baker, Harold Edward Baker, and Arthur Russell Baker. He married Myrtle Lillian Hay in Wagga Wagga City Council County, New South Wales, and they were married until Myrtle's death in December 1986. He had children Ivan Leslie Baker, Keith William Baker, and Linton James Baker. William Baker died at age 90 years old on February 14, 1984 in Wollongong, NSW, and was buried in February 1984 in Jamberoo.

    William Frederick Baker is the eldest child of seven. William Frederick is the son of William Baker and Ellen Baker (nee Minty). He was born in 1893 in Wagga Wagga, NSW and grew up on a farm outside Coolamon. William Baker married Myrtle Lillian Hay in 1922. They had 3 sons: 1. Ivan Leslie born 25 Nov 1924 died 31 May 1945 2. Keith William born 8 May 1928 died 4 Mar 2004 3. Linton James born 29 Jun 1933 died 5 Sep 1992 William Baker gave written consent for his eldest son, Ivan, to join the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF), who was 18 years old when he signed up. The age of majority in Australia at the time was 21 years. Parental consent was needed for anyone wanting to join up 'under-age'. In the 1940s William sold the property and moved into Coolamon to become an agent. William and Myrtle Baker stayed in Coolamon until retirement when they moved to Wollongong, NSW, to be closer to their sons Keith and Linton, and their families. They lived in the northern suburb of Corrimal and both William and Myrtle enjoyed playing lawn bowls. William Baker passed away on 14 February 1984. He is buried at the Jambaroo Cemetery, NSW.
