Arrived from Germany in early 1900's, worked as an Electrical Engineer, married Eileen Bermingham and had 16 children.
His youngest son, Frank, served in the Australian navy and lost his life with the sinking of HMAS Sydney - Other sons fought in the Australian military in the middle east and the south pacific.
