Clinton Marc Eastwood was born on May 31, 1930, in San Francisco, California to parents Clinton Eastwood Sr (1906-1970) and Margaret Ruth Runner (1909-2006). He grew up in Northern California and later moved to Los Angeles.
He started his early days as a lumberjack, steelworker, and army serviceman. Clint served in the United States Army during the Korean War and served at Fort Ord in California. There he worked as a lifeguard and swimming instructor and was later discharged in 1953.
