Ervin Amman in his WWI US Army uniform. He was first stationed in Kansas. He then went with his unit to be loaded on a ship to go to German. The entire unit contracted the Spanish Flu before leaving the US. Erin recovered in the US and was then sent home at the end of his enlistment.
