Francis Edward Shaffer

Francis Edward Shaffer was born on July 6, 1918 in Plymonth, Putnam County, West Virginia United States to Lawrence Vinton Shaffer and Virgie Mae (Trader) Shaffer, and had siblings Willard Lawrence Shaffer, Helen Cecilia (Shaffer) Bulmer, Paul Emerson Shaffer, Patrick Farmer, and Constance Eugenia (Farmer) Hall. He married Barbara Lea (Peters) Shaffer in 1955 in Charleston, Kanawha County and they later divorced in 1970 at 5612 Staunton Avenue, in Charleston. They had children Mark Edward Shaffer and Connie Frances (Shaffer) Bays. He also married Mary Katherine (Williams) Shaffer, and they had children Michael Kent Shaffer, Kathryn Leah Shaffer, Clinton Shaffer, Vinton Shaffer, and Lawrence Golden Shaffer. Francis Shaffer died at age 65 years old on September 19, 1983 in Dayton, Montgomery County, OH, and was buried at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens in Cross Lanes, Kanawha County, WV.
