William J. Anthofer was born on January 9, 1898 in Iowa United States to Magdalena Anthofer and John Anthofer, and had a brother John B. Anthofer. He married Josephine Frances M. (Sturm) Anthofer, and had a child Shirley Marie (Anthofer) Strom. William Anthofer died at age 85 years old in February 1983, and was buried in 1983 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Carroll.
