Infant Euna Blanche Brownlow
This is my maternal grandmother, Euna Blanche Brownlow. She was photographed because her parents, Edward Isaac and Elizabeth Brownlow, had lost several babies between my grandmother and their surviving children. My grandmother, Euna Blanche Brownlow Denton, lived to be 87 years old, died in Amarillo, Texas, and is buried in Eldorado Cemetery at Eldorado, Jackson County, Oklahoma.
She was one of 24 children of Edward Isaac Brownlow. His first wife died and he then married my great-grandmother, Elizabeth Skipper Brownlow.
Euna Blanche Brownlow married John Luther Gossett at age 17. She had two children with him, Garland Edward Gossett, and my mother, Willie Jo Gossett. They divorced when my grandmother was expecting my mom.
My grandmother then married Thomas Levi Denton of Eldorado, Oklahoma, and they had a daughter, Bobby Blanche Denton.
My grandmother pieced many, many quilts.
She had a granddaughter by her son, Garland, a granddaughter by her daughter, Willie Jo, and 3 grandsons by her daughter, Bobby.
