Jerry was born on October 20th, 1951. He joined the USAF in 1969 and served 2 tours in Vietnam, one in 1969, and the 2nd in 1972. After returning from his last tour he remained in the USAF until his retirement in 1992. He is the 13th born child of Claude Brownell, and Alice (Pittsley) Brownell. He fathered 4 children. Keith, Shannan, Cynthia, and Carrie. He was married to Darlene. M. (Pleaugh) Brownell until her death in December 2011. As of today; February 2022, Jerry M. Brownell is still alive, and lives in Gogebic County Michigan where he was raised.
