I love the detail in this picture. His socks and shoes. The Tulane pillow, the delicate flowers in the dark wallpaper, the bricks and woodworking on the fireplace and mantel. It makes me want to see the rest of the room. This little guy's face is so clear! Looks like a "high definition" picture for its time! Thanks for this!
Lola Goodson is the child of Thomas Jefferson Goodson and Ellen Waggoner. She was born on September 26 of either 1896 or 1918. She had multiple siblings half and full including Elizabeth, Amelia, Ursula (1884-1967), Josephine Agnes (1885-1948), Dennis (1890-1956), Ellis Joseph (1892-1934), Thomas Jefferson (1894-1980), Oma Gabriel (1894-1973), Emeline (1898-1978), and Vivian Goodson (1900-1980).
She first married John Woodward (born 1891) on April 20, 1917 in Natchitoches, Louisiana and they had a son John Allen Woodward (born 1919). Lola then married Elbert Buford Grappe (1881-1946) in 1923. They had Buford Isadore "Trixie" (1923-1981), Edward Theodore (1924-2013), Betty Rae "Titter" (Grappe) Hohlt (1927-2016), Curtis Roy (1936-1981), and Buena Grappe (died 1974). Some of her children's nicknames were Buddy and BoBo.
