He was married to Jessie Carr in 1907 in Tennessee United States, and had children Vaughn Boyd, George Carr, Cozette Hill, Catherine Carr, James Wilson Carr, Teressia Carr, Coleman Carr, and June Carr. John Carr died at age 84 years old in November 1965.
