John Dartnell

Born in Detroit but grew up in Brooklyn, NY. with his mother Lillian Scott Dartnell. Attended Dartmouth University and transferred to and graduated from NYU. Joining the US Navy because of WWII he was commissioned to the rank of Lieutenant Commander. Married Marie G. Hanley in 1949 and they had five children. John S Dartnell Jr (Jack), Robert P, Anne M, David E and Jane M. Jack was in sales most of his working career including Scott Paper but also worked in Oceanography and was on the front page of The NY Times regarding work in ocean pollution in 1964.
