John W Howard famiy

John's birth certificate name was shown as simply J. W. Howard because the time he was given the name of his grandfather who was know as J W. His name was actually changed by the Army because they would not accept single letters in their record keeping system. Like his son Johnny, both died from complications due to earlier head injuries.
