Joseph Leger of Lake Charles, Calcasieu County, Louisiana was born on September 3, 1909 to Duplessis Jean Leger and Heloise (LeBlanc) Leger. He had siblings Ozite Marie (Leger) Abshire, Victorian “Duduce” Leger, and Ephraim Paul “Jumbee” Leger. He married Helen Mary (Abshire) Leger, and had children Nolan Leger, Earline (Leger) Doucet, and Olan Raymond. Joseph Leger died at age 66 years old on April 16, 1976.
