Marion Eaton Gifford Apr 10, 1896 - Sep 1977

In 1914, after her father's death, when she was eighteen, she petitioned the court for a guardian to "take care of her estate and person". Her mother (living) agrees. It is to be an "allowance for Education, &c." and is granted in early 1915, while Marion is in her first year at Wells College, Aurora, New York, "pursuing a course of study according to her future expectation in life."
