Mary Josephine "Josie" Motley Lindley was the wife of John Archie Lindley and the mother of 11 children. She was born in 1859 in Troup County, Georgia. She was the daughter of Josa Motley and Martha J. Thomas. Her family was one of the first settlers of Eastland County, Texas.
