He married June Marie (Healy) Donohue, and they were married until June's death on October 9, 1977. He had children George A. Donohue Jr., Francis J. Donohue, Thomas J. Donohue, Charlene M. Donohue, and John G. Donohue. George Donohue died at age 90 years old on November 11, 2021 in Baltimore.
