Mr. and Mrs Nicholson, the parents of my Gt Uncle's wife. The back of the photo reads Mr. and Mrs Nicholson of Oklahoma (1923). I find it amazing that an interracial marriage was legal at that period of time. The state of Virginia didn't legalize interracial marriage until 1967.
