Oscar Krushka

Oscar was wounded on the 25th April 1915 in the first wave of landing at ANZAC Cove. He was evacuated to the Australian Field Hospital at Lemnos Island (Greece) He recovered and returned to his unit at Lone Pine, Gallipoli. Oscar was mortlally wounded in the groin and was evacuated to the Hospital Ship Soudan where he died of his wounds and was buried at sea off Gallipoli. Oscar is commemorated at the Lone Pine War Memorial, Panel 66. Rest in Peace Lest We Forget
