Palmer Children Gravestone 1880
Restored gravestone of two Palmer children: Maud M. Palmer who died at 2 years, 2 weeks, and Charles Palmer who died at 6 weeks. The parents of these children, Charles William Palmer (1853-1914) and Martha Horsman Palmer, buried their children near their grandfather, Samuel James Palmer. Both gravesites are found in the Pioneer Cemetery in Palmyra, Nebraska. A dove was engraved in the stone for Maud, and a lamb was engraved for Charles. Further inscription: God Gave, He Took, He Will Restore, He Doeth All Things Well.
