A photo of the Rev. Daniel J. Bombay in the Bronx, New York, in 1982: Rev. Daniel J. Bombay was born in 1938 in the city of Manhattan, N.Y. to Anthony Bombay and Mercedes (Martinez) Bombay. In 1960 married Esther Morales and they had two children; Timothy L. Bombay and Sharon E. Bombay (Holland).
Rev. Daniel Bombay studied at La Puente Bible School in California and at the end of his studies started to pastor a Assemblies of God church in Passaic, N.J. in 1969 He and his family went to the Dominican Republic as missionaries and established the Centro Evangelistico Church of the Assemblies of God and a k to 12 school Colegio Efrain. In 1976 he was transferred to Managua Nicaragua as a missionary. He and his family had to leave Nicaragua because of the civil war that broke out during the Somosa era. He left the country in 1978 and in 1979 started a Spanish speaking church in the city of Englewood, N.J during this time he also became the Assemblies of God Spanish Eastern District treasure. A few years later he and his wife went as missionaries to the city of Caracas Venezuela but two years later had to return due to health, had to come to the United
States to have a six bi-pass operation. After his recovery he became the Presbyter of the North West section of N.Y. helping to establish 12 churches. In 1998 he became the Assistant Superintendent of the Spanish Eastern District of the Assemblies of God overseeing over 800 pastors. On August 1st 2000 our heavenly Father brought him home. His favorite Bible verse "The Just Shall Live By Faith" and that is what he did.
We love you dad and there is not a day that passes that I don't think of you and miss you.
