Robert Bau

Gordon Bau was born on July 1, 1907 in Minnesota, USA. He is known for Le survivant (1971), L'Inspecteur Harry (1971) and La griffe du passé (1947). He was previously married to Bonnie L. Szabo. He died on July 21, 1975 in Los Angeles, California, USA. Brother of make-up artists George Bau Uncle of makeup artist Robert Bau and body makeup artist Beverly Bau-Turner 'Beve' Member of the Society of Makeup Artists (SMA). Along with his brother George, he initially worked for Rubbercraft, a company which specialized in rubber parts for industrial usage. Gordon eventually perfected the application of foam rubber for motion picture make-up and prosthetics. Was head of the make-up department at Warner Brothers, 1930-'s to 70's.
