Obituary: WOODSTOCK. NY - Samuel R. Vagelatos, Jr.. 17. of Woodstock. NY. died unexpectedly May 29, 1986, as the result of an accident. He was born in Utica. NY on October 21. 1968, a son of Renee Montana and Samuel Vagelatos Sr. He was educated in Utica, attending John F. Kennedy High School. He moved to Woodstock. NY in 1983. where he was a senior at Onteora High School. Sam was a very active athlete, playing on the varsity football and baseball teams of Onteora High School. He was a communicant of St. Mark's Church. N. Utica. He is survived by his mother, Renee Montana, of Woodstock, NY; his father, Samuel Vagelatos. Sr.. of Arcadia. NY; his maternal grandfather, Raymond Montana, of Utica; his paternal grandmother, Antoinette Hennings; his great-grandmother. Victoria Vitale, of Utica; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandmother, Theresa (Vitale) Montana, in 1984.
