Close family friend/boarder with my Uncle Ralph Iriarte and wanted to adopt my mother, Alba Morales de Muniz, when she was orphaned. A very gentle man who never married and worked hard. Suffered greatly at the injustice he felt when he could not find a publisher for his book "Lola Espana Y la Guerra Santa del Caudillo". Finally paid to publish it himself in Mexico and often said the book "For Whom the Bell Tolls" was based on his story and stolen from his book.
