I am the great granddaughter of William Robert Wallace (1898-1986).
William Robert Wallace was born and educated in Ahoghill, Ballymena, Ireland and emigrated to the USA in 1920 at age 22. His last place of residence before permanently moving to the USA was Renfrew, Scotland. He sailed from Liverpool, England on the SS Carmania and arrived at Ellis Island 11/9/1920 with a family member, William Hamilton (cousin we think), who was 20 years old at that time. He mentioned he loved the Grampian Mountains, Glasgow and Greenock. The ship passenger list says his father was J Wallace from Newtoning, Larne, Ireland. He had two sisters, Jean McDonald and Maria Beatee. He had two brothers Samuel Wallace and Thomas Wallace. He was married to Caroline Akin Wallace for over 50 years and his whole life. They first met when he was delivering bottled milk and they loved each other forever. Most beautiful true love story. My great grandpa visited family back in the old country over the years and family visited him in the USA as well. They also wrote letters and spoke on the phone. He loved ALL his family here and abroad very much. For photos that I shared with writing on the back, I put that in the description but not sure who actually wrote on most of them.
