Three comrades in arms: Merle (?), Bill Ramage, Nick Lung. We were stationed at Walker AFB at Roswell, New Mexico. The 509th Bomb Group. This was taken in 1949 or early 1950. Nick lung went on to Air Cadet training and the last I heard he was flying Jets. Merle transferred to another squadron in a reorganization move. I became a supply Sargent and went on to serve two more years in the Army. I would welcome any news about Merle or Nick.

The two bottom photos are of my sister, Evelyn Ramage McCarthy. They were taken in 1943 at 211 Henning Street, Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin. Note the very stylish hat. The pictures were sent to her husband who was in North Africa at the time and he carried them all through the war. The upper picture is the McCarthy family about 1956.

The James E. Ramage family. Jimmy settled in New York state after the war and remained there a number of years before moving his family back to Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin. He had been in the USMC from 1942 to 1945. They also lived in Iowa for awhile and then back to Fond Du lac. I do not know where the picture was taken. Perhaps one of my nieces or nephews can answer that question. In this picture: Nancy Ramage, James Edward Ramage, James William Ramage, Mary Elizabeth Ramage, Robert Allen Ramage, Eugenie Ann Ramage, Stephen Irwin Ramage, Regina Ann Valerio Ramage, and William Edward Ramage.
