This is a photo (ambrotype) I bought on e-bay as a collectionner. The names of the mother and baby were written inside the photo case. If someone knows who these persons are, and where they are from, dates of birth, marriage etc, I am interested in knowing those informations. Thanks

Lewis Lyons, Jr. (1831-1926) and his wife, Mary Sparks (1834-1908). Lewis was an older brother of Matilda Lyons, who married James Henry (Jim Goins) Boggs. While not a Boggs himself, the picture is of interest not only because of the relationship, but also his unique beard and the coarseness of their clothes. Contributed by Robert Cunningham.

View #3 of the James L. Boggs cabin. Unfortunately the house has burned and about 90% of the outside of the house is now rubble & ash. A big thank you to Beverly McDonald & Ron Collier for information about the house. And, to Rhonda Robertson of the Wise Co. VA Historical Society for permission to post the pictures.
